Stomping Ground is a 2-week overnight summer camp nestled just south of the Adirondack Mountains. We believe in giving kids autonomy and space to play, learn, and live out their weirdest, wildest dreams.
With Sky High’s support, we were able to outfit our farm program with the infrastructure it had been missing: a new high tunnel, drip irrigation, fencing, hand tools, trays and pots, trellis materials, seeds, soil samples, and proper signage. It feels like a proper farm program now. (
Beyond the equipment, the grant gave us the momentum to break ground on a brand new quarter-acre growing plot. We're currently cover cropping with Sun Hemp, and we are excited to show our 600 campers and our broader community what it looks like to take care of the soil and build long-term plans for sustainable farming practices.
