The Palestine Heirloom Seed Library

The Palestine Heirloom Seed Library (PHSL), founded in 2014 in the West Bank village of Battir, began as an attempt to recover ancient Palestinian seeds — and their stories — in order to get them back into people’s hands and hearts. Today, PHSL is a global project working on crop conservation and storytelling. Their grant from Sky High Farm was used to support the Seed Protector Project, which supports farmers in preserving ancient crops in diaspora.
