I spent part of my childhood in Palo Alto, Sucre, a small town in Colombia, where I grew up alongside my grandparents. Through them, I developed a deep sensitivity toward nature and the land. This fellowship has been a wonderful opportunity to deepen my knowledge of farming and how the food system works. Being welcomed into an incredible community of farmers in the Hudson Valley has opened my eyes to regenerative, sustainable, and organic ways of growing food — and to the power that such a simple, responsible act can have on the lives of thousands of people, animals, and ecosystems.
